Legacy Practice Transition Consulting (LPTC) is a full scope transition advisory firm. We specialize in assisting doctors with transitioning from business ownership to retirement or when purchasing a practice. Our multi-disciplinary team approach equips us with the ability to assist the doctor with all phases of their transition: conception, valuation, buyer or practice identification, sale negotiations and implementation.

Frank Gardner, DDS

Dr. Gardner practiced general dentistry in Kansas City North for over 20 years. Shortly after retiring from private practice he founded Practice Transition Consulting (PTC) to counsel doctors on the sale and acquisition of dental practices. In April 2016 PTC and Legacy Practice Transitions, LLC merged to form LPTC . He is also an instructor for the Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City educating the students in Practice Management and Transition Planning. Dr. Gardner’s experience as a practitioner and practice owner allows LPTC to provide it’s dental clients with the valuable perspective of someone who has managed and sold his own practice.

Allen Bishoff, CMPE

Mr. Bishoff has spent his entire career in health care administration and small business consulting. He began his career as a mail clerk for a large international insurance carrier. Twenty years later he was the Chief Administrator for a medical group and clinical foundation of a Kansas City area hospital.  He was responsible for managing over 25 employees and a $50 million budget. In 2010, he left the corporate world to start his own consulting practice eventually becoming one of the founding partners of LPTC. Mr. Bishoff’s extensive experience and expertise in medical/dental practice management and contract negotiations provides LPTC’s clients with a valuable advocate during the process of buying or selling a practice.

Blake A. Stanley, CFP®

Mr. Stanley has been a financial advisor and business transition consultant for over 10 years. Mr. Stanley assists LPTC’s clients with broadening their view of the transition process by contextualizing the financial impact of the transaction.  He is LPTC’s lead valuator and is responsible for providing comprehensive transition analysis and budgeting. As a comprehensive wealth manager, he develops long term, goal orientated financial plans for doctors and practices by addressing the areas of cash flow planning, tax reduction, estate planning, individual and business risk management and investment management.

In 2007, an art dealer/collector by the name of Ileana Sonnabend passed away. Within her rather large and valuable art collection – her net worth was estimated at $1 billion – was a piece titled, Canyon. The artist, Robert Rauschenberg, used a combination of paint, sculpture and a stuffed juvenile bald eagle in constructing the
